Dance Church is community built and community run. It takes a village to do what we do, and we are looking for folks passionate about dancing and community to contribute their time and expertise to our events. All team member positions are paid; see more details below!

Current Opportunities
Safety Director
The Safety Director oversees the safety and wellbeing of our community. Responsibilities include:

Managing the Safety & Care Team

Establishing and overseeing response protocols for safety incidents

Assessing and addressing community safety needs

Time commitment is ~5-10 hours per month

Paid $149/quarter, with bonus opportunity
Backup Sound Technicians
As we continue to bring in new DJs at Dance Church, extra assistance is needed with setup and optimization of the sound. The backup sound technician is someone with experience connecting DJ equipment (mixers and speakers) to sound systems and optimizing sound within a venue.

Safety & Care Ambassadors
Safety & Care Ambassadors exist to protect and ensure the safety and wellbeing of our dancers. Duties range from greeting, mediation, conflict resolution & aftercare, and acting as a guardian of the dance container.​

Ambassadors must be available at least 1 dance per month

Time commitment is 2 hours per dance as well as attendance at monthly/quarterly team meetings

Paid $20 per dance
Special Events Crew
Our non-profit, Minnesota Dancers Cooperative, is committed to building the conscious dance community in the Twin Cities by bringing national talent to our scene. When hosting visiting artists, we need folks dedicated to artist relations, event logistics, venue coordination, and more.

Crew members will be needed for 1-2 special events per year

Hosts
Hosts are an essential part of our dances. Host duties range from greeting, setup & teardown and acting as a guardian of the dance container.

Hosts must be available at least 1 dance per quarter

Hosts arrive 30 minutes before the dance

Time commitment is 2.5 hours per dance

Paid $20-40 per dance
